Dear McFarlin:
On behalf of USA Track & Field, I would like to salute you and the
Gift of Time Foundation for your recent initiatives to better the lives
of America's youth. As the national governing body for track and field,
long distance running, and racewalking in the United States, USATF understands
the important role that grass roots programs play in the development
of future Olympic athletes. Through programs, such as USATF's Junior
Olympic program, USATF seeks to provide our young track and field athletes
with the resources and support to develop into future Olympians.
The Gift of Time Foundation seeks to provide America's youth with similar
resources and opportunities. Through several strategically placed institutions
around the country, the Gift of Time Foundation provides our nation's
youth with the resources, skills, and education necessary to enable
them to develop into the next generation of academics, scientists, executives,
physicians, and world class athletes. Each institution will provide
children with access to educational and cultural resources, computer
training, and physical fitness development, in addition to emphasizing
the importance of community service.
We encourage anyone interested in supporting our next generation to
join USATF in its support of the Gift of Time Foundation.
Warm regards,

Craig A. Masback
